Building Dentara stemmed from a real disconnect: dental students struggling to find clinical patients for graduation while everyday people lacked easy access to affordable care. I set out to bridge that gap by architecting a responsive Progressive Web App that simplifies matching, case tracking, and clinical workflows.
I built the full-stack architecture using Next.js and Supabase, focusing heavily on mobile-first accessibility so both students and patients could navigate scheduling effortlessly on any device. The biggest challenge was designing a clean, reliable relational data schema to handle patient profiles, appointment states, and secure auth while keeping UI interactions instant and seamless.
Turning a fragmented healthcare bottleneck into a live, user-centered digital solution was incredibly rewarding. Dentara reinforced for me how thoughtful software engineering can solve tangible, high-impact community problems.
