A web tool for permitted YouTube saves: single-link MP4/MP3 options and up to ten batch MP4 jobs.
AI Video Download is a Python and JavaScript web project for saving public clips that the visitor owns or has permission to download. It was developed with AI coding assistance.
The English YouTube interface offers MP4 video and MP3 audio for an individual video or Short, subject to source availability. Batch mode accepts up to ten individual URLs, pasted one per line or imported from a UTF-8 TXT file. Batch output is MP4 only. Each item has its own progress and outcome; a failed item does not stop the queue.
Recent work includes private error monitoring, server-side success/failure analytics and mobile performance improvements. Keeping job outcomes visible after partial failures is a practical focus of the interface.
The service is free and ad-supported, without a site account. Limits are ten minutes and 100 MiB per item; completed results expire after one hour. Files are saved separately. Whole playlists, login-restricted content and DRM bypass are not supported.
This is an independent project, not affiliated with YouTube or Google. Feedback about format selection, progress states and error clarity is welcome.
