It would be great to help builders develop beyond just the technical side—to also learn about validating ideas, talking to customers, building a business model, sales, fundraising, and actually running a startup. Add a Sponsor Ranking System that recognizes sponsors based on either their total sponsorship duration or how many times they’ve sponsored the platform. For example: Bronze — 30 days of sponsorship, Silver — 60 days, Gold — 90 days, Diamond — 120+ days Alternatively, the ranking could be based on sponsorship frequency, allowing recurring sponsors to progress through the tiers over time. This gives long-term and returning sponsors additional recognition beyond simply displaying their sponsorship.

IDEA: Make the Events team-based instead of purely individual, allowing developers to collaborate, showcase the projects/idea/innovation/insanity, get judged then earn recognition together. Teams and members could rotate every round to encourage more interaction and socialization, while the individual recognition is already remains part of the Discover Weekly Project Leaderboards.

Thanks for the idea, Peter! Changing usernames isn't something we can offer right now: usernames are your permanent profile link, so keeping them fixed means shared links never break and nobody can grab a freed-up name.

"When i try to upload a cover image for a project, an alert always shows failed to find the file but the upload goes thru and saves properly."

Projects can now have up to four photos after the cover: they take turns on Discover and featured cards, and scroll one at a time on the project page. Thanks for the idea!

"To keep the database and storage sustainable in long-term, consider adding a file upload limit per project to prevent large PNG/JPEG images and videos from quickly exhausting the available storage. Alternatively, if there’s already a built-in compression or optimization pipeline, uploaded files could be automatically compressed and optimized before going to the storage to reduce unnecessary usage."
Already in place: every image is shrunk and compressed in your browser before upload, each type has a size cap, a project holds at most five photos, and uploads are capped at 30 a month. Thanks for looking out for the site!
